Press Release: Evangelical Women’s Conference to Address Theology, Cultural Issues

Chicago, Illinois, December 3, 2010 – Today, evangelical women have influence in all corners of society, necessitating a proactive investment in the life of the mind of Christian women everywhere. To that end, existing and emerging thought leaders will bring a biblical worldview to bear on a plethora of issues at the upcoming God, Faith & Culture Evangelical Women’s Conference. Speakers include Halee Gray Scott, PhD (Azusa Pacific University), Jennifer Lahl, RN, MA (The Center for Bioethics & Culture and producer of the new documentary, Eggsploitation), Sarah Flashing, MA (The Center for Women of Faith in Culture), Sarah Ankenman (The International Society for Women in Apologetics) and Caryn Dahlstrand Rivadeneira (Christianity Today) and many others.

“Whatever you believe about gender roles, women as members of society need to know what they believe and why they believe it,” states Sarah Flashing, Director of The Center for Women of Faith in Culture. “The ministry of the church begins outside of the church where women today exercise significant influence. Equipping her with a robust Christian worldview provides the necessary tools for leading, living and loving in today’s world.”

At this time in history, the evangelical woman must discontinue relegating herself to a life of apathetic simplicity and courageously pursue a relationship with God that moves her to a place of faith and reason, because we are called to love God with our whole heart, soul, and mind. The God, Faith & Culture Evangelical Women’s Conference is a movement of Christian thinkers engaging God’s world, where women can explore and actively engage the intellectual dimensions of the historic Christian faith. Any woman seeking to understand what she believes and why she believes it should plan to attend and expect to be challenged.
